Move Out Cleaning Checklist
It’s a good idea to follow this move-out checklist to ensure that you get your security deposit back and avoid any cleaning fees from your landlord or building management company. Remember to clean each item thoroughly, and allot time for last-minute cleaning, such as cleaning the bathroom right before you leave. If you follow this checklist and clean each item thoroughly, you’ll be well on your way to getting your security deposit and remember, your keys are due back by 12 pm (noon) on the last day of your lease.
Remember to remove all personal items from the premises. Removing discarded unwanted items will also be charged against your Security Deposit.
Remove racks and broiler pan; clean and dry,
Clean stove pans, pan drawer and rings.If able, lift top of stove and clean all sides.
Clean and dry exterior sides, front and back of oven,floor underneath stove oven. Clean range hood, including filter. Clean microwave
Miscellaneous in and near kitchen,wash all light fixtures and switches, — Clean inside and out of dishwasher, including food trap — Clean windows, windowsills and tracks — Sweep and scrub kitchen floor, including under all moveable appliances,replace any dead light bulbs.
Bathrooms deep clean
Clean bathtub shower, tile around tub, fixtures and front of tub, clean inside and outside of toilet, including the base, clean inside and outside of medicine cabinet and all cupboards and drawers, wash mirror, sweep and mop floor, Clean bathroom fan, clean all light fixtures, switches and towel bars, replace any dead light bulbs.
Home Cleaning Tips
Doors: Clean inside and out of front and back doors, wash dust both sides of all interior doors and top of door frames. Blinds: Make sure blinds are cleaned inside an out. Walls: Check interior walls and wash off marks, smudges, dirt or grime. Water tank: Dust top of water tank.Washer and dryerwipe front, top and inside of washer and dryer.Floor Clean floor around washer and dryer and all surfaces.
